Many “experts” predict it could take anywhere from 2-10 years for our economy to get back to where it was a few years ago. New Growth Opportunity! Helping When It Hurts
Uncomfortable trying to help a friend in crisis? Struggle with what to say? Explore new insights and approaches to being a caring friend in a special program coming this fall. Helping When It Hurts is a four part study series, based on an excellent book by Robert Hunter, that will explore the key messages that someone who has experienced loss or is hurting needs to hear as well as the skills and responses that convey effective care.
When: Four Sundays from September 26 through October 17.
Time: 9:45 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.
Where: Shepherd of the Lake in the Heritage Room
Facilitator: Paul Bierlein, a retired pastor with almost 30 years experience as a healthcare and hospice chaplain. Matierials: Although not required for the course, the book Robert L. Hunter, Helping When It Hurts. Cost for the book is $10 and due at the class.
