Affirmation of Baptism
Affirmation of Baptism (AOB), also referred to as confirmation, is an important faith milestone and an opportunity for 8th-grade students to publicly proclaim their faith. It is a celebration of their Living Water journey and a new beginning as they create their own path for faith exploration. We are so proud of our students and are grateful to have had the opportunity to journey with them!

AFFIRMATION OF BAPTISM EXPECTATIONS​

Registration for AOB opens on October 25th, 2023, and closes on January 10th, 2024.

Complete your AOB Project by March 20th, 2024 (Statement of Faith and Volunteer Hours).

Attend AOB Small Group Adventure Day on April 27th from 8:00am - 12:00pm or 10:30am - 2:30pm.

Attend the Affirmation of Baptism Rehearsal on Sunday, April 28th, from 12:00pm - 1:00pm.

Attend Rite of Passage Service on Saturday, May 4th at 7:00pm.

Attend the Affirmation of Baptism Service on Sunday, May 5th, at 1:00pm.

Learn the Apostles Creed to be spoken aloud (as a group) at the AOB Service.

Support your peers and leaders on this journey, and continue to share your gifts in this faith community.

Please contact us in advance should you have a conflict with one of the above dates. We will work with you to seek alternative options if possible.
REGISTRATION
Parents/Caregivers are asked to register their student for the AOB Journey, including all activities and events listed under expectations.
You will also be asked to submit your student’s choice of prayer partner, al their contact information.
Please only register your confirmation student. Family and friends are welcome to attend without registering.

RITE OF PASSAGE & AFFIRMATION OF BAPTISM SERVICE INFO
Affirmation of Baptism Rehearsal (mandatory)
Sunday, April 28th, from 12:00pm - 1:00pm in the Worship Center | Our AOB service has many moving parts and moments when confirmands will be expected to participate. It is extremely important for students to attend the rehearsal and participate in a run-through of the service.

Rite of Passage Service
Saturday, May 4th, at 7:00pm in the Worship Center
Our Rite of Passage night is a deeply meaningful moment when students and their families reflect on their faith milestones together.

Affirmation of Baptism Service
Sunday, May 5th, at 1:00pm in the Worship Center
Family and friends are invited to attend this joyful celebration, where students make a public affirmation of their faith. AOB services are well attended, so please plan to come early if your family would like to sit together.
