Small Groups are a great way to grow in your relationship with God and with other people who
are in the same stage in life
have similar passions for service
are interested in extended learning opportunities
or some combination of the three!
If you would like to join a small group below or have an idea for a small group you would like to lead, please contact Shannon Hoffmann, Community Life Connector at email@example.com.
Creation Care Team
Our mission is to publicize, encourage and educate about our calling to be stewards of God's Creation; addressing current issues such as our changing climate and the effects on our air, water, land and and how a degraded environment affects the health and well-being of all of us, but especially the poor and vulnerable. We work together with other area Creation Care groups, the Minneapolis Synod ELCA Eco-Faith Network, and other state-wide & national interfaith action groups.
Faith & Fine Arts
Join us as we connect the dots between Faith and Fine Arts! We often gather for food, drinks and conversation following our outings. Carpools are available for most outings. All are welcome to experience these events!
Golden New Neighbors
Have you just moved to the area to be closer to the grandkids? Connect with other Golden New Neighbors for fellowship and service.
Meals on Wheels
Join our SOLLC team of driver, helping an hour or two each month delivering pre-prepared lunch to seniors and the temporarily homebound.
Peacemakers Quilting Group
Join us at 1PM each Thursday for fellowship as we create quilts for people in need while enjoying faithful fellowship! Interested?
Serve Your Zipcode
The mission of this group is to serve our local and surrounding communities through regular and ongoing volunteer opportunities. We hope to offer a wide variety of opportunities in which to volunteer our time: adults-only, family-friendly, daytime, evening, weekend, and may also include an optional social component. The point is to learn more about the needs in our community, strengthen existing service partnerships, and broaden our horizons in terms of local outreach. The commitment factor here is low! No meetings, no requirements, no pressure! Join our email list and upcoming volunteer opportunities will come to you!
SisterLINK is a group that volunteers monthly at Passageways in Prior Lake. We do activities with the youth on the shelter and housing side. We meet the second Tuesday of the month at 4:00 in the shelter side and the second Wednesday of the month at 3:00 on the housing side. Our activities are on site and include crafts, cooking and/or games. Members need to attend a one time training session by The LINK before they can be on site with the youth. We also participate in other activities off site that include meal making for the shelter and various volunteer opportunities from The LINK.
Theology on Tap
Relaxed conversation exploring Life and Faith. One Topic . . . One Brew . . . One Hour. Group meets 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month at Badger Hill Brewing Company from 6:45pm-7:45pm.
All women of Shepherd of the Lake are welcome to participate in the activities and organization of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (WELCA).
