On our mission trip to St. Louis this summer the group spent each late afternoon at the local YMCA to clean up. One of my stories from the mission trip is when we all got to play basketball at the YMCA. We weren't from around there so we got some weird looks and a lot of people were asking us where we were from. They were all nice and we played basketball against them. We almost won our first game but then got destroyed in our second and third game. It was fun to play against them because they all really knew was how to dribble and shoot three pointers.

It was awesome to get to know the local community and to tear down any preconceived notions about those who are different or live differently from us.
