Sunday School

Join the Sunday School fun and grow in faith through connection, curiosity, and community! You do not have to be a member of our church to attend. All are welcomed and affirmed with Open Hearts, Open Minds, and an Open Table!

Children can begin Sunday School when they turn 3 years old and are able to use the bathroom independently. Sunday School is for preschool-fourth grade students. A caring adult from the child’s family is expected to lead 1-2 times in the program year.

WHAT DO YOU TEACH IN SUNDAY SCHOOL?

In Shepherd of the Lake Sunday School, children learn:

  • We are all Beloved Children of God.

  • We are ALL welcome and affirmed at SOLLC.

  • All humans make mistakes - God loves us as we learn and grow.

  • The Lord’s Prayer.

  • The fundamentals of worship at SOLLC.

  • The makeup of the Bible and how to make sense of it all.

  • Living God’s word through service.

Sunday School Graduates, consider helping out in classrooms this year.

If you are interested in serving as a consistent Sunday School leader, please contact Andrea Sheridan at andreasheridan@sollc.org.
