About the event
If you’re new to SOLLC, new to the Lutheran Church, or even if you’ve been born and raised in the Lutheran tradition, this class is a fun, adventurous exploration of Lutheranism and will provide much insight and inspiration...and music.
If you’ve participated in one (or both!) of Pastor Jonathan's previous two classes, you’re encouraged to register for this class because we’re going to get a bit more specific, AND we have a very special guest!
Our book for the class, The Freedom of a Christian, Luther Study Edition, Revised and Expanded by Dr. Mark D Tranvik, examines the legendary essay written by Martin Luther in 1520 that electrified the medieval world during the Reformation.
The book was edited by Dr. Mark Tranvik, one of Pastor Jonathan’s and Pastor Mollie’s favorite professors at Luther Seminary, and is an accessible translation and study guide that brings alive the social, historical, and theological content of Luther's revolutionary work.
