Join us for a hike at Nerstrand Big Woods to see the only wildflower endemic to Minnesota, the Dwart Trout Lily! Meet at 8:30am at Clearly Lake if you wish to carpool.

About the event
Join us for a hike at Nerstrand Big Woods to see the only wildflower endemic to Minnesota, the Dwart Trout Lily! Depending on trail conditions we will do the state park "Hiking Club" trail which will allow those that are interested & have not yet done one to complete their first hiking club trail! We’ll also do the short trail that will allow us to see the flowers.
Nerstrand will be a slightly bigger commitment, but it is so beautiful for a spring hike. For planning purposes, Nerstrand is about an hour from SOLLC, so the time commitment for the day would be 4-5 hours, 2 hours of drive time there and back and about 2-3 hours in the park. We would get an early start (leave at 8:30am) so that we’re back by lunch (12:30pm).
We will meet at Clearly Lake at 8:30am for those who wish to carpool.
