About the event
The concept of Neurodiversity has made significant strides in visibility and acceptance in recent years; however, there’s still work to be done to deepen understanding, amplify advocacy, and strengthen support for neurodiverse individuals and their families.
Join us as the local nonprofit organization See Me Neurodiverse shares valuable insights into the Neurodiversity movement. Together, we’ll explore powerful strategies for fostering advocacy, promoting acceptance, and driving inclusion while celebrating the unique strengths and perspectives neurodiverse individuals bring to our world.
{Neurodiversity is the concept that neurological differences, such as Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and others, are natural variations of the human brain and should be recognized and respected as part of human diversity. It challenges the idea that certain cognitive styles or behaviors are inherently "disorders" and instead emphasizes the value of diverse ways of thinking, learning, and interacting.}
