Communion 101 is for anyone that is interested and ready to learn more about this sacrament. Typically geared toward 3rd-grade students, but any age is welcome. Communion 101 Communion 101 is for students who have not yet completed Communion Instruction, and, who feel interested and ready to learn more deeply about this sacrament. This is a faith milestone class for 4th grade students and their parents/care giver. Older students who have not completed Communion 101 are also welcome to attend. Together kids and their caring adult develop a deeper understanding of Communion through hands-on activities like games, songs and painting chalices. There is an adult only Q&A session during this workshop as well. Learn More The Link - Passageways A Shelter for Exploited Youth The Link's 28 programs provide supportive housing, intensive case management services, and skills development to youth at risk of or experiencing homelessness, sex trafficking, and/or involvement in the juvenile justice system. The Passageways Shelter and Housing Program provides specialized shelter beds for youth ages 12-17 and housing for youth ages 16-24 who are victims of sex trafficking. Shepherd of the Lake offers private music lessons for anyone wanting to learn an instrument. We also partner with Musikgarten to bring early childhood music to our community. Lesson Schedule - Year at a Glance Blue indicates lesson week, orange is make-up lessons, stars are recitals. There will be 6 sessions of lessons; registration will close two weeks prior to the start of a session. Each session includes 5 lessons. Feed My Starving Children MobilePack February 2nd-8th SOLLC is hosting the South Metro MobilePack from February 3rd-8th. Adults and children 5 years and older will measure and scoop ingredients, seal bags and prepare boxes for shipping. By volunteering, donating, or fundraising, your generosity makes a huge difference in the lives of thousands of children in need around the world. At least 6,200 children die each day from hunger-related causes (UNICEF). Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian non-profit organization committed to feeding God’s starving children hungry in body and spirit. The process is simple: People just like you donate funds for the meal ingredients. Volunteers hand-pack the meals. Meals are donated to FMSC food partners around the world.
